What Peewah Payments costs, and when to use your own gateway
If you use Peewah Payments to sell tickets, these fees apply.

The fee
12% of each ticket sold, with a minimum of $1 USD per ticket.
If 12% of the ticket comes to less than the minimum, the minimum applies.

What it covers: payment processing, payments infrastructure, order
management and sales reconciliation.
You can avoid it
Connect your own gateway — Stripe or PayPal — and payments go straight into
your account. Peewah then charges 0% on ticket sales. Your gateway has its
own fees.
Which one suits you
The fee is not the only difference. The other is when you get the money, and
for many organizers that matters more.

Peewah Payments suits you if it is your first paid event or you run few
events a year; you have no gateway account and opening one would take longer
than you have; you do not need the money before the event; or you would rather
not deal with credentials at all.
Your own gateway suits you if you sell volume, where the fee difference
adds up fast; you need the money before the event to pay the venue,
catering or a speaker — the most common reason, and the one people think about
too late; you already have an account you use for other things; or your
organization requires funds to land directly in its own account.
🔴 When the money arrives
With Peewah Payments, your sales are paid out after the event ends.
If your budget depends on collecting registrations to pay the venue, the
catering or a speaker's travel, that money will not be available when you
need it. With your own gateway it lands on your provider's schedule, which is
almost always sooner.
You are not choosing forever
You can use Peewah Payments for one event and your own gateway for the next, or
switch once yours is ready.
A common path: start with Peewah Payments so the first event's sales are
not held up, then set up your own gateway calmly for the next one — when you
know how much you actually sell and whether the fee is worth avoiding.
