What happens if an event is cancelled?
If an event is cancelled, the organizer is responsible for telling
attendees and deciding how refunds or compensation work.
Peewah is the platform organizers use to run their events — we are not the
organizer.
If you bought a ticket
The organizer should tell you:
- That the event is cancelled
- How refunds will work
- Or what else is on offer — a new date, or a credit toward another event
How long a refund takes
It depends on how you paid.
Card payments usually appear on your next statement, not immediately.
That delay is the bank's, not the organizer's — the refund can be issued and
still take days to show up.
Other methods vary, and the organizer will tell you the process.
💡 Keep your confirmation email. It has the order details you will be
asked for, and it is the proof that you bought a ticket to an event whose
page may come down.
Who to contact
Start with the event organizer. They cancelled it and they hold the money.
If you cannot reach them, or you need help confirming what you purchased,
write to us at [email protected] and we can reach out to them on your
behalf.
