# How to create an event on Peewah

You can set up an event and start taking registrations in a few steps.

Peewah handles both **free events**, where you only need to register people,
and **paid events**, where you sell tickets online. Events can be
**in person**, **virtual**, or **hybrid**.

# 1. Sign in

Go to [app.peewah.co](https://app.peewah.co). If you do not have an account
yet, create one first.

# 2. Click "Create event"

You will find it on your main dashboard.

# 3. Fill in the event details

During setup you define:

- Event name
- Date and time
- Format — in person, virtual or hybrid
- Description
- Image or banner
- Ticket types and quantity

# 🔴 Creating the event is not the same as opening registration

When the wizard finishes, **your event exists but nobody can sign up for it
yet**. Two things are still missing:

1. **Set up the registration form** — what you ask each person when they
   register.
2. **Publish the event** — until you do, the public page is not live.

This is the step people skip. The event looks finished in the dashboard, the
link gets shared, and registrations never arrive.
