# How to connect a Zoom meeting to your event

If your event runs on **Zoom**, you can connect it so attendees join from your
event page.

---

# 1. Schedule the meeting in Zoom

In your Zoom account choose **Schedule** and fill in the name, date, time and
duration.

> 💡 **Turn on "Require meeting passcode".** The link gets forwarded more than
> you expect, and the passcode is what keeps your session from filling with
> people who never registered.

---

# 2. Copy the join link

Once the meeting exists, Zoom shows a link under **Join Zoom Meeting**. Copy
it.

---

# 3. Add it to your event

**1.** Open your event and go to **General → Stages**.

**2.** Select the stage and click the **Streaming** icon.

**3.** Choose **Zoom**, then **Add URL**.

**4.** Paste the link and click **Add**.

When it is connected, the status reads **Scheduled**.

---

# How attendees get in

Everyone who registers gets an email with **their own access link** to your
event page. Before start time they see a countdown; when it hits zero, a
**Watch live** button opens the Zoom meeting.

> 🔴 **Those clicks are what Peewah counts as attendance.** If you email the
> Zoom link directly, or put it in a calendar invite, **the people who join
> that way will not appear as attendees** — and will not qualify for a
> certificate.
>
> **Share the event page. Never the Zoom link.**

---

# Before the day

**Check the waiting room.** If Zoom has it on, attendees land in a holding
screen and someone has to admit them one by one. For a large session that is a
queue you did not plan for.
