# Can I share my ticket with someone else?

**No.** Tickets are personal and cannot be transferred. Each one belongs to a
single attendee.

# Virtual events

Access is through a **private link** sent to your email. That link:

- Is unique to you
- Can only be open on **one device at a time**

If someone opens it elsewhere, **your session closes** — you get logged out of
the session you are watching, mid-talk.

# In-person events

Your ticket carries a **unique QR code**. It can be scanned **once**. A second
attempt shows that the ticket has already been used.

> 🔴 **This is why sharing backfires on you, not on them.** Whoever uses it
> second is the one turned away at the door — and if that is you, you are
> arguing at the entrance with a ticket you paid for.

# If someone else needs to attend instead of you

Contact the **event organizer**. Changing who a ticket belongs to is their
decision, and some events allow it. What does not work is passing the link or
the QR along and hoping.
